My current productivity stack
Todoist for personal tasks & general work tasks. There’s two reasons why I go for todoist: 1 — widgets on phone and laptop to have the todolist always in front of me. 2 — keyboard shortcut to add a task asap via ⌥ + T.
Airtable for invoices, billable hours, billable projects, cashflow, client portals. One system to help me track my expenses and revenue but also share relevant data with my clients.
I also use Airtable for project management & planning.
My Airtable setup is integrated to Fakturoid via Pipedream. Fakturoid is a czech invoicing system. I don’t need the UI really, what I need is the czechia-specific exports. One VAT export per month and one income tax export per year. No need to pay for an accountant so far.
OpenAI ChatGPT. The native MacOS app is pretty good. ⌥ + Space to summon a chat interface instantly is pretty helpful. In the browser I occasionally use other models.
Google Chrome — I’m trying to use the browser effectively. That means using the right keyboard commands to open & close tabs but also using the custom search engines and knowing how to create new files vie the .new domain.
Alfred — I use it to quickly launch apps & lookup emojis 🙃️ Again, making it appear instantly with keyboard shortcut is key.
Powersave — my own chrome extension. It’s a quick way for me to add records to Airtable. I quickly add records to tables like billable hours, bugs, landing pages, products & tools I find. Instead of adding bookmarks I create datasets.
Here’s what I plan to experiment with:
superwhisper — for using voice to interact with LLMs faster
Zen browser — well configurable and minimalistic browser based on Firefox
Be Focused — A pomodoro timer for short periods of intense focus
Anything else that might fit here?
